Last week I promised to write about…
Why I really like coaching leaders.
Here are my answers.
As a coach I get to:
~ Ask great questions that empower like: What outcome would you like? What is your next step?
~ Be part of another’s success. Those who invest in coaching are serious about success and I get to be there.
~ Provide space for meaningful conversations. Busy leaders cherish the space they get to think and reflect out loud.
~ Build trust and safety. It is a great honor when a leader allows me into their world.
~ Participate in great moments and celebrate the leader’s frequent break-throughs and victories.
Coaching, as defined by Solomon, circa 950 BC:
“A plan in the heart of a man is like deep water, but a man of understanding draws it out.”
