My good friend Gary Arzmendi (Gary, far left with his family, including his new son-in-law, lower right) wrote this on his Facebook Wall Saturday: “I have an oven with a ‘stop time’ button. It’s probably meant to be ‘stop timer’ but I don’t touch it, just in case.”
Upon reading that I walked straight out to our kitchen to see what time buttons were available.
I found a “set…stop time” dial on the oven. The “set” part may be a preparatory word of warning as in “Get ready! Get set!” before one says “Go!” So if I do decide to “stop time” at least I’ll get “set…” and think about it first.
I also found “defrost time” and “cook time” buttons on the microwave. Maybe these are for when we just want to change the effects of time, instead of fully stopping it.
I’m making good use of my time right now as I am getting this vital information out to you ASAP. As a special treat I pressed “cook time” while I wrote in order to warm this blog-note up for you.
Anyway, I thought you might be most grateful for these new, easy to use, time management tools as you get started with your week.
Special BONUS: I’ll keep a lookout for a “speed time” button in case some of you wish it was Friday already. But I know most of you would rather “stop, cook, or defrost” time so you can thoroughly enjoy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!
After all who would want to shorten their life anyway? There’s so much good that can happen between Monday and the weekend!
