“Let not your heart be troubled,” is too gentle.
“Stop letting your heart be troubled” is the correct translation of this famous phrase.
Yes, take charge and stop it!
How? By telling fear, “Stop!” Then speak/shout/yell out a better belief than those fearful thoughts that are trying to move into your head and heart. Kick ’em out!
Here’s a “better belief” example: I believe I will have enough through COVID-19: Enough health, enough money, and enough faith. Be responsible (you know, wash your hands frequently). Stop fear. Believe.
Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” So, what do you think? What do you believe? Now’s a pretty good time to settle that.
Decide and declare! Louder than any other noise! Like this song-lyric I heard the other day that’s got me roaring my “better beliefs” and defeating those poser-fears:
“I’m gonna sing, in the middle of the storm,
Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar!” (more)
