In ancient days new wine was often stored wineskins made of goat or other animal skins, similar to a modern day bota bag.

New wine expanded as it continued to ferment so winemakers knew to not put new wine in an old used wineskin because the old skin had already been stretched and had no room for expansion.   They knew that  new wine in an old wineskin was a recipe for disaster!

New wine needs new wineskins.

New ideas in our organizations and relationships often blow up and make a mess because we pour them into old structures.

Old structures seem safer.  Old wine tastes better.
